I used to live by Lake Erie in southern Ontario and worked at an asparagus farm. As random as that is, I really enjoyed my time there and lived in a house my housemate & I called, “Red Oaks,” because of the red oak trees planted around the property. I baked in my free time on a borrowed antique baking table equipped with 2 large drawers on the sides that could each fit a gigantic bag of flour.
That was back in 2011, and I’m pretty certain that was when the recipe for this granola was first conceived, tested, tried and truly enjoyed. And so many years later, I’ve come to name my favourite granola after that house in Ontario I lived in. I hope you love Wild Child Co.’s Red Oaks Granola as much as I do.
